School Treasurers from multiple school districts came to Orange County Schools to attend the School Treasurer Academy Class at C.W. Stanford. During the class, participants received professional development and training in fiscal accountability. School Bookkeepers from each school in OCS attended the class. Additional classes in the School Treasurer Academy will be held in August and September.
Orange County Schools district offices, with the exception of the Maintenance Department, will operate on a 4 ten-hour day schedule through August 14, 2014. Offices will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday of each week except June 30-July3 when we will operate from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Beginning in the 2014-15 school year, elementary schools will end at 2:35pm. The elementary school day is ending fifteen minutes longer than in previous years. The school day will begin at same time as in previous years, 7:55am. The ending time has been adjusted so that North Carolina law requirements are met. Learn more . . .
