The End of Grade (EOG) and End of Course (EOC) test scores for the 2012-13 school year have been released by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
Once Orange County Schools receives the scores, our testing and accountability department will begin preparing your child's individual test results to send home.
During the 2012-13 school year, North Carolina’s teachers and students began using new standards for learning. These new standards describe what students should learn in every subject and at every grade level. North Carolina has had state standards – called the Standard Course of Study – for many decades, but the new Standard Course of Study is the latest update and is designed to meet the needs of today’s students to be career and college ready. Along with the new learning standards, students took new end-of-grade and end-of-course tests to measure their learning.
Please keep in mind that the test scores for the 2012-13 school year cannot be compared to scores from previous school years because of changes to the curriculum and test formats. Please contact your child's school if you have questions regarding his/her test scores.
