High School Course Guide Edit Process

Below, educators will find information and forms which should be used to submit edits, additions and eliminations for the 2011-2012 High School Course Guide.

PLEASE NOTE that everyone must do their part for us to stay on this timeline. This plan allows all schools to have the course guide in hand by the requested date of February 1, 2011.

Timeline

September 13     
Guidance Counselors received copies of the course addition/course elimination forms

September 29    
High School Principals received copies of the course addition/course elimination forms

October 29          
Deadline for Course Addition/Course Elimination forms
All forms must be turned in no later than 5 p.m. to the Office of Secondary Instruction.

Mid-November
Course Review Committee
Steven Weber will provide the Course Review Committee’s feedback and recommendations to the Superintendent and Senior Staff.

Return Course Guide Edit forms
If you are making changes to an existing course description, return these forms to Cindi Chamberlain in the Print Shop by November 15.

December 6
Steven Weber will take the course addition and course elimination proposals to the Board of Education.

December 8
Printshop will receive approved new courses/eliminated courses from Steven Weber; Printshop begins work on the first proof of 2011-12 course guide.

December 20
First Course Guide proof with edits to Steven Weber for review.

December 30
Final edits by Steven Weber returned to print shop.

January 5
Final Proof of Course Guide to Counselors, Principals, Dr. Morton & Steven Weber.

January 12
Any last-minute edits from Counselors, Principals & Dr. Morton must be returned to Steven Weber and Cindi Chamberlain. E-mailed edits preferred.

January 12-14
Steven Weber & Cindi Chamberlain meet to review and make changes based on last-minute edits.

January 14
Final changes to Carlos Lavin for edits to Spanish translation of course guide.

January 18
Final Course Guide to printers

January 26
Printshop receives final course guide from printer.
