Safety Training for Staff
It is MANDATORY for New Employees to participate in Orange County Schools Health and Safety Orientation Training prior to beginning work in order to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Section 29 CFR 1910.1030) Bloodborne Pathogen Standard. OSHA compliance also REQUIRES annual training thereafter.
OSHA New Employee Orientation & Training Schedule
**Due to unforeseen circumstances, the OSHA Health & Safety Orientation Training scheduled for Wednesday, November 9 at Efland Cheeks Elementary Media Center has been cancelled. If you were scheduled to attend the OSHA training, please attend the next training scheduled on December 14, 2011. This training will be held in the Efland Cheeks Elementary Media Center from 1:00 till 4:00.
Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) Training
Annual BBP training is required of all Orange County Schools employees. It is offered online for staff with e-mail accounts. Other staff must attend Health & Safety renewal in a classroom. This must be completed between September and June of each school year.
